                                                     "  Technologys Epics Story"

What exacly does technology mean ? The word technology wasnt used till the year 1962. It was first used in 1929 used by a guy to bring art to life. Now technology its identify as anything created after you were born. But technology goes back till ages ago. If we were to eliminate anything that had to do with technology humanity would ceased. We would not live beyond the age of 30  we wouldnt have any grandparents. Grandparents are important because they carry experience and knowledge. Just like what technology brings to the table knowledge and experience. Technology is the most powerful force on this planet because it is something we have invented and keep involving to reinvente ourselves and technology.
" How Art  technology and design  inform creative leaders"
                                                                  Reflection.

John the speaker started to think about the computer as a spiritual place. Instead of technology just being technology it became art. Technology design and art are all a very similar subject. Technology is an amazing thing that keeps producing from images, browsers, text , ce quality, movies. Now we have phones and ipads that do the same thing as a computer. The things that are designe into computers are art. If you put anything in content form, it becomes art. When you dont understand art  that means that its working. Art is suppose to be questionable. John is saying that art and technology have alot in common

                                                                 Susan B Anthony

Susan B Anthony was a feminist active during the years of  1820-1906 she was an American Sufrigist. She worked hard towards the womens right movement and collected signatures to allow women to own property and vote. She wrote books on the womens Suffrage moement , and was even arrested for her bravery  on voting on November 1st 1872 in Rochester New york, She was fined a $100 fee but wasnt imprisoned. Susan B Anthony never paid a penny of that fine because she believed it was unjustified.. She traveled the United States and Europe  and gave 75-100 speaches a year. Anthony was the cofounder of the womens right journal and was counfound of the womens temperament.

Reflection to the "Anthropology Cyborg" Video

The video "Anthropology Cyborg" taught me that  when it comes to technology people have two personalitys a mental self and a physical self. The speaker was concern on how people present their second selves, by always fighting for someones attention. She compare the way we view the media  to the way we determine real life circumtances  because us humans are very attached to material things. For example  she says that if you were to print out all the people you have on your cellphone  the whole room would be full with people. I totally agree with this statement because if your constantly concentrating on multiple things than  you will never  will be fully paying attention to one. the speaker said that machines are helping us become  more human because its giving us new ways to interact and humanity is what makes the world go round.  I agree and disagree with the statement because technolgy isnt  making us turn into anything, its just showing an indivisuals true colors. Adolecense spend more time creating their second selves  than actually being concious of who they are. A person can  have a 1000000 friends when it comes to the social media but in real life  could have none. so what has the world come to when we have to rely on  technology to have a basic conversation, a world where were scare at the sight of another persons voice threw the phone or a persons face. People have to deal with reality. Some conversations may be easier to conduct threw text message but are they genuine because a person can say anything threw a text message but theirs no facial expressions that let you identify wether the words are real or not.

                                                                   A mini Essay

“The Time of our Lives: Forty Years and Forty Moments” an interesting topic that appeals to me from this article  is what’s a stake for women in the 2012 election. The majority of voters in the US are women. At this given point anything can be at stake as women. For example women are more prone to need health sources such as Medicare and healthcare because statistically we live longer than men. Meaning that as older women you will need to depend on social security more than men.  As a women or a girl this election will impact you because things such as the choice or abortion are being fought against in the healh care reform. The Obama Corporation believes that a women or a girl should be able to control their lives and choices, and won’t allow the reform to die. Women in congress tend to cooperate with one another more than men, but we need to keep increasing these numbers to see changes.

                                            "Anything but Secure" Reaction paper
In the article “Anything but Secure” by Premilla Nada Sen.,  speaks about the ICE new policy change stating that any immigrant charged with minor traffic violation would not be flagged for deportation unless they are convicted.  In New Orleans Delmy Palencia an undocumented immigrant with a 3 month old infant was held 45 days in the districts attorney’s office because she decided to lock out her domestic partner out of the house. Even thought the charges were dropped and she was held with a 48 hour immigration hold. This was after thrown out because of failure of (ice) following procedures. The 15 days later taken by (ice) and ordered to leave the country within the next six months. This case clearly shows the impact of laws that affect women and families. Since 2008 226,000 undocumented immigrants have been deported because of police officers crossed checked system, with the immigration database. What was once designed to deport those with serious criminal records has now overlooked the situation and has been deporting immigrants with minor infractions.
I believe that this article  not only pertain to women but it also pertains to a whole population of men women and  children who are undocumented immigrants many of these people come to the us  to work  to support their families just like Palencia. But what ends up happening is that their scare to death and live hidden because their scare of deportation if an undocumented immigrant needed protection him or she can’t even go to the police station  they must live in silence  if they want to remain where they live now.

                                                                        Blocking the Vote

The article  “Blocking the Vote” by Ashley Lopez is about the strained that is put on people who have low income, people who are disable, the elderly and women of African American and latina back ground to vote.  It all started with the story of an elderly 83 year old woman who is unable to vote in Wisconsin because she doesn’t have state photo identification. Now she joins 17 others in a lawsuit against Wisconsin’s new state rule of photo identification. The photo identification law is not new to other states but now they have prohibited the use of student ids, social security cards, utility bills and bank statements as identification, these laws can keep groups that are most likely to vote for their party away from the polls. Before this strict new policy Alabama, Kansas, Wisconsin, along with 4 other states had enacted the rule. Legislator’s secretaries and government support the law saying that the justification for it is rampant voter fraud. Republican state senator Joe Leibham also supports the law stating that people has lost confidence to the states election system due to voter fraud in the past but in reality Wisconsin only had 7 cases voter fraud out of 3 million votes cast.

I believe that Frank is doing the right thing by pursuing a lawsuit for the state of Wisconsin because a lot of people don’t have state photo identification because they just can’t afford it. A driver’s license can cost up to forty five dollar and a passport a hundred and ten dollars. Many elderly African American voters, Not to mention that 7 percent of Americans  don’t have access to citizenship papers that leaves 15 million adults without the privileged to vote because  they can’t get a proper photo id. I believe that voting should be a privilege for anybody that’s of age and lives in the U.S. There shouldn’t be any restrictions because anybody who lives here deserved the chance.
