“The Time
of our Lives: Forty Years and Forty Moments” an interesting topic that appeals
to me from this article is what’s a stake for women in the 2012 election. The majority of voters
in the US are women. At this given point anything can be at stake as women. For
example women are more prone to need health sources such as Medicare and
healthcare because statistically we live longer than men. Meaning that as older
women you will need to depend on social security more than men. As a women or a girl this election will impact
you because things such as the choice or abortion are being fought against in
the healh care reform. The Obama Corporation believes that a women or a girl should
be able to control their lives and choices, and won’t allow the reform to die.
Women in congress tend to cooperate with one another more than men, but we need
to keep increasing these numbers to see changes.
I agree 100% with this. It couldn't have been said any clearer. We as women should keep in mind that this will have a huge impact on the choices we are able to make in the future.
